A pod dropped on the grass has 6 seconds to be recovered before it cracks open and the Squishy escapes. Pods dropped into the canyon stay in the canyon.

Grab Squishies from their rider tubes and bring them close to the rescue basket so they flop safely inside. Rider tubes never cost tokens. Only the separate EXTRA empty tube costs 50 tokens if caught. Parachuting Squishies are worth 50 tokens during their short bonus timer, then 1 token after it expires. The RIVER RESCUE meter tracks successful Squishy saves.

Catch the dropped Evil Pods and match each one to the same-colored portal. Successful rescues fill the DEFEAT STORM meter. Jack-o'-Lantern pods are the rare high-value rescue.
